I guess I was the lucky one. I was told the United States Forest Service (USFS) didn't feel confident to physically analyze this avalanche on the ground and asked Vail resorts ski patrol to investigate it. I'm glad I am not in ski patrol. haha

Part of a series of photo studies to some degree. I kept doing photos of the same mountain range and was amazed at how different the mountain looks on different days.

The high peak (Freel Peak) on the right is the tallest place around Lake Tahoe at almost 11,000 feet in elevation. The area is pretty intense.
